Yuta Okkotsu engages in a brutal showdown with the grotesque cockroach curse, Kurourushi, deep within the Sendai Colony. Although Yuta possesses overwhelming power, he intentionally avoids revealing his Reverse Cursed Technique too early, understanding that exposing this trump card would make him an even bigger target in the Culling Game.
Kurourushi, wielding its repulsive Festering Life Sword and capable of unleashing swarms of cursed insects, proves to be a relentless and deadly foe. Yuta fights with precision, managing at times to overpower the curse and gain brief control of the battlefield. Still, Kurourushi’s poisonous swarms, corrosive attacks, and unpredictable movements steadily push Yuta into a corner.
When Kurourushi attempts to seize and devour him alive, Yuta reacts with quick instinct. He bites directly into the curse’s face and releases positive energy straight into its body — an unexpected close-range technique that annihilates Kurourushi from the inside out, ending the battle in a shocking and decisive moment.
From afar, Ryu Ishigori and Takako Uro watch in disbelief, stunned by Yuta’s raw power and unconventional approach. Though Yuta earns five points for exorcising the curse, the intense fight leaves him noticeably exhausted and exposed, setting up even greater challenges ahead in the colony.
