Chapter 185 takes a heartfelt turn, diving deep into Panda’s inner consciousness through a dreamlike, nostalgic fantasy that reflects his bond with his sibling cores — Gorilla, his stern older brother, and Triceratops, his gentle yet protective big sister. In this imagined memory, a younger Panda playfully wrestles with Gorilla, but the fun quickly turns painful. When Panda tries to defend himself, Gorilla strikes him too hard, leaving Panda in tears. Triceratops immediately steps in, scolding Gorilla and reinforcing her nurturing, almost motherly presence within the trio.
The scene shifts to an even more painful moment as Panda is bullied by two other children and forced to throw away his cherished ball. Gorilla watches from a distance, choosing not to interfere. Panda’s heartbreak deepens, not because of the bullying alone, but because all he truly wanted was to play and feel close to his brother. Once again, Triceratops confronts Gorilla, while it is quietly revealed that Gorilla plans to save money to replace Panda’s lost ball — a subtle expression of care he never openly shows.
The bittersweet fantasy reaches its breaking point when their father forces the siblings to separate, ordering Gorilla and Triceratops to leave Panda behind. Unable to understand why he is being abandoned, Panda is left shattered, symbolizing the loneliness that has always lingered beneath his cheerful exterior.
The story then snaps back to the present, where Panda’s body has been utterly destroyed in his brutal clash with Hajime Kashimo, leaving only his severed head behind. Determined to extract information about Sukuna, Kashimo prepares to finish Panda off.
Just before the fatal strike, Kinji Hakari makes a dramatic entrance, slamming down with cursed energy and crushing a shipping container beneath him. Cracking a joke about Panda having “lost weight,” Hakari lightens the moment and reassures Panda. Kashimo, intrigued by this sudden and formidable arrival, shifts his focus to the new opponent standing before him.
