Yuta Okkotsu presses on with his battles in the Sendai Colony, this time squaring off against the powerful sorcerer Takako Uro. During their clash, Yuta begins to grasp the strange nature of Uro’s cursed technique — an ability that lets her manipulate space as if the sky itself were a flexible, physical surface. Her spatial distortions bypass Yuta’s guard entirely, hurling him around with devastating force yet leaving no visible wounds.
Curious about her fierce and reckless fighting style, Yuta questions what drives her. Their tense exchange reveals Uro’s deep resentment toward the Fujiwara clan, whom she believes Yuta is connected to. As a reincarnated sorcerer forced into the Culling Game, she channels her bitterness and centuries-old anger, convinced Yuta could never understand her suffering or her burning desire for revenge.
Their confrontation is abruptly interrupted when Ryu Ishigori steps in, launching an enormous Granite Blast and teasing them for “flirting.” The overwhelming scale and destructive power of his attack immediately signal to both Yuta and Uro that he poses a threat neither can ignore.
Acting quickly, Yuta advances toward Ryu, using debris left from Rika’s past rampage as cover. He skillfully weaves through Ryu’s barrage of cursed energy blasts and manages to catch him off guard, closing in for close-quarters combat — a move that ignites an intense three-way battle in the colony.
