Amid the chaos of the Culling Game’s Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Megumi Fushiguro receives unexpected support from the eccentric sorcerer and self-proclaimed comedian Fumihiko Takaba. Despite his awkward humor and odd behavior, Takaba quickly proves to be a remarkably strong and reliable ally.
Initially cautious of Takaba’s bizarre personality, Megumi’s perspective shifts when Takaba unleashes a cursed-energy-boosted flying kick that sends Iori Hazenoki crashing through a building. Takaba’s unpredictable, entertainment-driven fighting style keeps Hazenoki off balance, making it nearly impossible for him to anticipate Takaba’s next move.
Seizing the distraction, Megumi attempts a surprise strike on Reggie Star, though Reggie narrowly avoids it. Realizing they need a coordinated plan, Megumi proposes splitting their opponents: Takaba will handle Hazenoki, whose explosive body-part technique is extremely dangerous, while Megumi takes on Reggie.
Takaba eagerly accepts — delivering bad jokes even mid-fight — all while demonstrating surprisingly effective, cursed-energy-fueled combat prowess.
